Understand the difference among Snippets, Templates, and Documents
A Snippet might contain a program description, tax-identification information, event directions, logo instructions, a booking-link introduction, or a standard closing.
A Template might contain a volunteer inquiry response, donor follow-up, sponsor introduction, membership renewal reminder, auction-item request, or lapsed-donor message.
A Document might be a sponsorship package, case for support, membership guide, annual report, program overview, event prospectus, volunteer handbook, partnership brief, or corporate-giving guide.
Use Snippets for frequently repeated text
Snippets can be used from eligible Contact, Company, Deal, Ticket, and custom-object records; Templates; live chat; logged activities; Notes; and supported connected-inbox experiences.
Typing the # symbol followed by a shortcut displays matching Snippets. For example, #volunteer-next-steps might insert a short explanation of the volunteer-interest form and what happens after submission. The user can adjust it before sending.
